Sabrina was born in Hannover, Germany. She started her career at the age of 9 as a gymnast and a jazz dancer. In competitions that combined the two disciplines, she became North German Champion and placed 3rd at the German Championships two years in a row.
Sabrina was greatly inspired by the movie Dirty Dancing. After watching the movie several times, both she and her cousin Sandra were able to dance all the routines in the movie, but without the lifts. She knew that she needed a male dance partner to do this.
In 2000 Sabrina met her dance partner, Martin Plugge. They competed together for seven years and won several competitions in Europe for both Latin and Standard dance. They finished 2nd at “Hessen tanzt!”, one of the world’s biggest amateur dance competitions, and were invited to perform at the New Year’s Concert at Hannover Opera.
In 2003 Sabrina became involved in Country and Western Dance. She taught these in several dance studios and competed at the German Championships. Sabrina holds several international champion titles in this category. The most recent is the Line Dance World Champion 2009.
As a part-time professional dancer, Sabrina studied fashion design and graduated in 2005. She founded her own business and specialized in designing and sewing dance outfits.
In 2007 Sabrina accepted an offer to become a full-time dance teacher in the United States. She moved to Connecticut in January 2008 and now teaches and competes with her students from beginner to advanced level.
Sabrina is now competing in both West Coast Swing and Hustle with her new dance partner George Garcia. They recently came in 3rd in the Strictly Swing division at Virginia State Open.
